The Avengers

After watching Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Captain America and Thor and getting previews of what was coming in Avengers was exciting. The movie had been highly hyped with a built up for years. The worry:

• Will it live up to the expectations
• Will the star cast have the right chemistry 

Now to the movie. 

• Took time to gain momentum but the built up was required and essential to the plot
• The action sequences where amazing 
• The subtle dialogues where great
• The effects were mind boggling 
• Acting of all the characters did not feel like acting, it was as if they were just doing their actual jobs 

Now to the Main Characters 

• Loki - Was Evil and Menacing , all that you want from a Villian
• Black Widow though expressionless was a sight for sore eyes 
• Hawkeye was great both in negative as well as positive roles 
• Iron Man delivered as usual
• Thor was just amazing 
• But the pleasant surprise was Hulk. Mark played the part to perfection, right expressions, cool and calm and angry as required. The scene with Loki at the end was just paisa vasool for me !!!

Bottom Line : Watch It  -- Absolutely -- I have already watched it twice

The Green Hornet

The thought of a television series which I enjoyed watching as a kid being transformed to the big screen was awesome . Unfortunately the movie was not , barring a few laughs from Seth and Jay . This was one of those movies which had a terrific trailer with amazing soundtracks and that pretty much was the movie !!!

• Seth's acting was over the top , it looked as if he was trying to act and never got into the character . 
• Cameron Diaz was looking totally out of place and too old for Seth . 
• Kato's fight sequences could have been much more realistic .The fight sequence between Ried and Kato was a drag .... Kato could have kicked his ass any day ( and in a minute) !!!
• Christoph Waltz negative character was actually quite good , comical with a serious face . 
• The cars and gadget's were ok .
• The soundtrack was good especially the last bit with the Green Hornet theme playing . 

Bottom Line - Ditch It
